Quite often, discussions of the origin of life and the universe ultimately leads to empirical data and the resulting theories concluding that any other ideas are myths – particularly the Christian belief that God created the world.  Science takes this one step further in declaring belief in God as a wasteful superstition practiced by unenlightened people.  The only reality is what can be physically observed and measured.

What if there is more to the discussion?  Science observes the universe, tests hypotheses of how it works and continues to expand our body of knowledge on an infinite number of subjects – except one.  Why is there something rather than nothing?  From where did physical matter come?  In this regard, science speculates and proposes its own “myths”.

We suggest that science and religion co-exist quite well.  Science answers how the universe functions and religion answers why it is here in the first place.  We also believe that the Biblical understanding of the universe is the most comprehensive and conclusive of all the other explanations of why there is something rather than nothing.

  • Is it a scientific proof? No.
  • Does it have grounding in how the world behaves and how to live in it?
  • Definitely yes.
  • Is it believable?  That’s up to you!
